There are some wedding days that simply feel magical from start to finish, and Christine and Herbert’s August celebration was exactly that. From the moment I arrived, the day felt warm, joyful, and full of love. The kind of late-summer day photographers dream about. The sun was shining, the air was warm but gentle, and every detail of the day felt soft, elegant, and intentional.
Their wedding took place at the stunning The White Poplar, which is truly one of my favourite venues to photograph. The space is bright, beautiful, and surrounded by nature, creating the perfect setting for a romantic wedding day. Beyond the gorgeous property itself, the owners are incredibly welcoming and kind, which always makes the experience even better for couples and vendors alike.
The day was beautifully planned by Kayla Lagos Weddings & Events, and every detail came together so effortlessly. The florals by Stone House Creative were absolutely stunning. Soft pink tones, airy arrangements, and so many fluffy blooms created a romantic feel throughout the day.
The reception details were simple and elegant: soft pink fabric draped across the wooden tables, delicate glassware, gold cutlery, and floral menus that tied everything together perfectly. It felt refined but relaxed, exactly the kind of atmosphere you hope for on a summer wedding day.
Guests stayed cool during the sunny ceremony with charming paper umbrellas, and one of the sweetest guests of the day was the bride’s dog, dressed for the occasion with the cutest little bow tie.
Later in the evening, Christine and Herbert surprised everyone with a choreographed first dance to L.O.V.E. by Frank Sinatra, which had the entire room smiling. The speeches were heartfelt, the energy was joyful, and it was the perfect way to celebrate such a beautiful day.
Christine and Herbert, thank you for letting me capture it all!
